Menopause, self-confidence and instant gratification…

The combination of physical changes and emotional stress that may be due to menopause, often cause disastrous effects on the self-confidence of baby boomer women.

Penelope Jane Whiteley of Aging Disgracefully says “There are four tricks women of a certain age can use to improve their self-confidence … instantly”

“For women who are feeling less than feminine or are having “take-it-or-leave-it, prefer-to-leave-it” feelings towards sex because of menopause, good sex is a good option to overcome self-doubts. It’s the “Use it or lose it” attitude.”

“And regular exercise certainly helps relieve some of the stress that may be associated with menopause.” she says “as well as creating a general sense of well-being.”

She maintains women should “ adopt the attitude of “It’s all about me” … it has been about everybody else in their life until now! All women should learn to reward themselves and celebrate their achievements, at least once a week; something luxurious is a fabulous confidence booster.”

“With the possible onset of depression or anxiety, or (perhaps especially) menopause fatigue and brain fog, a good nights sleep is essential, and a visit to a professional to find some natural remedy may be necessary.”

“Or women can find a coach or a women’s group to help them work on work on their attitude! Women have a natural inclination to embrace change …”

“There is so much to celebrate when you become a woman of a certain age … and the best is yet to come … “
